Let’s Set June 2026 Goals!

My writer productivity skyrockets when I set monthly writer goals, and it’s time to share my June 2026 goals. At the beginning of each week I break them down into daily tasks that fit my current schedule. Do you know how great it is to finish projects? Of course you do! For me, setting monthly goals makes it all possible.

Every month I share how I did the previous month as well as what my new goals are. Let’s get to it!

HOW DID I DO? JILL’S MAY 2026 GOALS

WRITING:

HEALTH:

  • Fresh vegetables and fruits every day. High protein meals. CHECK!
  • Exercise for 20-45 minutes every weekday morning. CHECK!
  • Mini-workouts at least 5 evenings a week–a 10 minute walk, or 15 minutes on the stationary bike, mobility exercises, etc. CHECK!

PERSONAL:

  • Enjoy extended family celebrations. CHECK!
  • Have one adventure in the Toledo area. CHECK!
  • Walk at a local metropark. CHECK!

My goals were modest, and I managed to meet them. It was a tough month, though. My aunt passed away, our refrigerator died, and I didn’t feel great overall. It took me a week longer than I’d anticipated to finish the draft of my book. And the walk at the local metropark? Wasn’t even half a mile! Still counts.

Some months are like that–some seasons are really. We get through them as best as we can and move on to brighter days.

JILL’S JUNE 2026 GOALS

WRITING:

  • Revise/submit Love Inspired novel
  • Plot and write the synopsis and sample chapters for the final book in my Wyoming Inheritance series
  • Spend an afternoon reviewing my 2026 production plan and tweaking as needed

HEALTH:

  • Fresh vegetables and fruits every day. High protein meals. Minimal high-processed foods
  • Strength train three days per week. Yoga or walking two days per week
  • Mini-workouts at least 5 evenings a week–a 10 minute walk, or 15 minutes on the stationary bike, mobility exercises, etc. (This habit has really served me well. I’m convinced these mini-workouts have been keeping my weight from ballooning!)

PERSONAL:

  • Enjoy time with mastermind group and the 2026 Midsummer Mingle reader event in Grand Rapids, MI
  • Pick strawberries and make freezer jam
  • Get outside and read in the sunshine
  • June 5th is National Doughnut Day. Just sayin’…

The weather has finally gotten sunny and warm! Yay! I love summer days and iced tea and ice cream cones and farmer’s markets and all the thrills. I’m going to make the most of every minute.

What goals do you have for June? I’d love to hear them!
