March Goals 2019 Jill Kemerer #ww

What Are Your March 2019 Goals?

March is here! Does this mean spring is coming soon? I hope so! It regularly snows here through mid-April, so I won’t hold my breath! In the meantime, I’ve been busy writing. Let’s review and set goals.

Jill’s February 2019 Goals

  • Revise and submit Wyoming Twins Christmas Reunion
  • Promote A Meddled Match
  • Health: Track calories, meet fiber goals, exercise 5 days/week

How did I do last month?

  • Revise and submit Wyoming Twins Christmas Reunion – CHECK!
  • Promote A Meddled Match – CHECK!
  • Health: Track calories, meet fiber goals, exercise 5 days/week -NOPE–NO CHECK.

In addition to my goals, I revised a novella and worked on art sheets for a cover. It was a very productive month! I let my health goals slide (again), but I still exercised three days a week, added fiber, and kept my calories in line.

Jill’s March 2019 Goals

  • Copy edits for Christmas novella
  • Expand plot for book 2 in the Love Inspired cowboy series
  • Draft proposal for book 2 in the Love Inspired cowboy series
  • Set up promo for His Wyoming Baby Blessing
  • Health: Track calories, meet fiber goals, exercise 5 days/week

How did you do last month? Do you work well this time of year? I usually get a lot done in these cold/rainy/snowy months.

  1. My March writing goals are fluid. I just submitted proposals for two different novels to two different agents, plus the sequel to my Oregon Trail story to my current publisher. I’m in research and plotting mode for the third “Westward Hope” book, so I’m not actually writing. This one involves a wide swath of the middle of the continent in 1847 plus some actual historical characters, so I need it to be perfect. I’m also in research mode for another novel that is just at present a gleam in this writer’s eye.
My writing is also tied in with Lent, as I examine my life as a Christian, a writer and a Christian writer, and take the pulse to make sure it’s not about me.
My goal for the house is to start working on the basement, which is the only place where we come even close to being hoarders. But that will have to wait until the snow drops by at least a foot, sigh.
My health goal is to walk five times a week and eat salads for lunch three times a week. I gave up chocolate for Lent which you’d think would help my waistline, but not yet. A piece of homemade lemon pie is more appealing than a box of knock-off Oreos. Sigh.
Anyway, that’s my life, kind of amorphous for now, but hope to have more fixed goals in May.

    1. I love researching and plotting! Your story sounds fascinating! Your Lent goals are admirable–we all should reflect on they “whys” of writing. You sound like you’re more than ready for winter to be over. I am, too. It’s hard to feel good when every day is cold and blech. Hang in there!
