Let’s Set October 2024 Goals!
My writer productivity skyrockets when I set monthly writer goals, and it’s time to share my October goals. At the beginning of each week I break them down into daily tasks that fit my current schedule. Do you know how great it is to finish projects? Of course you do! For me, setting monthly goals makes it all possible.
Every month I share how I did the previous month as well as what my new goals are. Let’s get to it!
How Did I Do? Jill’s September Goals
- Writing
- Plot story, write long synopsis and first chapter of new book. CHECK!
- Plot more of an uncontracted book. CHECK!
- Prep for an author’s night at Bene Italiano in Toledo, Ohio! (It’s on September 17, from 5pm-8pm. I’ll be joined by Denise Hunter, Janine Rosche, and Carrie Walker. See the graphic below for all the details and to register!). CHECK!
- Health
- Exercise 5 days/week with more difficult sessions 3 of the days. MOSTLY CHECK
- Eat at least 5 fruits and/or vegetables every weekday. NO CHECK
- Eat fewer carbs/lower calories on weekdays. CHECK!
- Personal
- Check out a local farmer’s market. CHECK!
- Get out the fall decorations! CHECK!
September was incredibly busy for me. Besides the fun author event in Toledo last month, I attended Harlequin Celebrates 75 in Toronto. I loved touring Harlequin’s headquarters and meeting the professionals behind the scenes who work on my books. I also spent time with editors and fellow writers, and I attended a glamorous gala. I’m thankful I had the opportunity to go!
The writing is going great, and I’m getting back on track with my health goals. I traveled throughout the month, so sticking with the exercise and fresh produce was challenging. On a personal note, I finally made it to a farmer’s market–about time!
