Let’s Set March 2026 Goals!

My writer productivity skyrockets when I set monthly writer goals, and it’s time to share my March 2026 goals. At the beginning of each week I break them down into daily tasks that fit my current schedule. Do you know how great it is to finish projects? Of course you do! For me, setting monthly goals makes it all possible.

Every month I share how I did the previous month as well as what my new goals are. Let’s get to it!

HOW DID I DO? JILL’S FEBRUARY 2026 GOALS

WRITING:

  • Revise/submit Wyoming Inheritance book 4. CHECK!
  • Plot/draft the synopsis and first 3 chapters of Wyoming Inheritance book 5. CHECK!
  • Write 7500 words on a different project. NO CHECK.
  • Promote my February release, A K-9 To Reunite Them. CHECK!

HEALTH:

  • Add more fresh produce to my lower carb/high protein eating plan. KIND OF CHECK
  • Exercise for 20-45 minutes every weekday morning. CHECK!
  • Mini-workouts at least 5 evenings a week–a 10 minute walk, or 15 minutes on the stationary bike, mobility exercises, etc. CHECK!

PERSONAL:

  • Do a jigsaw puzzle. CHECK!
  • Play around with watercolors. NO CHECK.
  • One page in art journal per week. CHECK!
  • Spend a weekend with my daughter! CHECK!

I had a rough February, but I met a lot of my goals, and for that I’m thankful. The “different project” in my writing goals didn’t happen at all. Not one word. I’m okay with that. I’ll fit it in some other time. The fresh produce is still a struggle. I think some of it is due to the time of year. The produce just doesn’t look good to me. I’m still meeting my exercise goals–consistency is so important. The weekend with my daughter was fabulous! We got fun coffee drinks, visited an aquarium and got to hang out with her boyfriend. A win all around!

JILL’S MARCH 2026 GOALS

WRITING:

  • Write 50k words of an upcoming Love Inspired novel
  • Continue promoting A K-9 To Reunite Them
  • Prep for book signing (see below if you’ll be in the Orlando area March 17th!)
  • Prep workshops I’ll be teaching at a writers retreat

HEALTH:

  • Continue doing what I’m doing. The lower carb/higher protein meal plan works for me.
  • Exercise for 20-45 minutes every weekday morning
  • Mini-workouts at least 5 evenings a week–a 10 minute walk, or 15 minutes on the stationary bike, mobility exercises, etc.

PERSONAL:

  • Do a jigsaw puzzle
  • Fill out a bracket for March Madness
  • Enjoy sunny Orlando and the retreat!

Winter is getting to me. Every day is cold and gray. I might bring out my Happy Light soon. I clearly need it.

What goals do you have for March? I’d love to hear them!
